Post-jam update
This update aims to make the game a bit easier for those who need to rely on the visuals. Initially I tried to show on screen the margin the player has to press a button. That was a mistake: many players were trying to react as soon as possible, thus pressing before the note can be accepted. So I went back on this decision, and now the visuals only indicates the exact moment a button should be pressed (the error margin becomes kind of an invisible koyote time). However the game is still heavily sound based, and rewards players who pay attention to the rhythm! Especially in the new (not so) “secret” hard mode!
Here is the full changelog:
- Tweaked the visuals to make them more intuitive
- Added a new hard mode
- Slight change of colors
- Minor bugfix
The jam version of the game will remain available for a while, for those who would want to see the results of the event itself. However I will remove it later, as it has no very significant difference beside being less user friendly. Yes, I'm making a Nintendo move! If you really want to see the jam version after that, you can always clone the git repo and checkout the corresponding commit.
